Social Justice Assistant Intern-Non Paid

C.E.W.I.G. is a non -profit organization that works to uplift the forgotten black community through social justice reform by supporting and advocating for those who were or are victimized in urban communities by the crack epidemic. Our primary goal is to seek legal justice for families who were impacted by the devastating consequences of the government program called Iran Contra that ran the drug into black communities throughout the country. We are looking for a person who can be a true advocate. You will be able to add valuable work experience as a volunteer to your resume. We are preferably seeking members of the African American community to contribute their time and effort to help our cause.
As a Social Justice Assistant Intern, the primary role and responsibility is to work alongside the Board Secretary to collaborate on projects to further this mission. We look for the following qualifications.
Familiar with and proficient using social media, and able to maintain multiple accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
Able to use Microsoft Office
Must have a working home office with phone, computer, printer and internet access.
Prior experience in a clerical position desired
Able to substitute for the Secretary as needed
Able to work independently, and collaborate with a group often
Job Type: Internship
Schedule:
One day per week for Board meetings,
As needed basis during the week
