Profile
Post 861 is a unique unit. Virtually every member is involved in a special project such as Frank Squire's donated furniture pick-up and delivery program for newly-housed, previously homeless vets to Cmdr. Harper's involvement with Stand Down, legislation for Cal Vets, Phil Rios as a Veterans Service Officer, Doc Kauffman with Veterans Affiliated Council and Veterans Experience advisory committee at Mather VA Hospital, Don Kelso assisting the chaplain at one of the local hospitals, Darrell Sand volunteers doing taxes for needful seniors at AARP. Several members including Bud Lee, Joe Mohamed, and Cmdr. Harper have provided generous, long-term support for the families at Mather Veterans Village in Rancho Cordova. Bob Fitzgerald, our Zoom Master, and Don Sparks are involved in several community groups. As Doc Kauffman once said, "We get things done." If you enjoy getting things done, we welcome you to band with us
