Amedisys Hospice Volunteer

Volunteers are needed to assist hospice patients and their care givers in their homes and in facilities. Volunteers can provide companionship, read, write letters, send emails, play cards, board games or sit with patients to give their caregivers a break. Pet therapy can be provided by volunteers who have certified/trained pets. There is also a need for volunteers who are licensed barbers and beauticians. Anyone who has a special talent they would like to share like singing, playing an instrument, arts & crafts or knitting blankets are welcome to join our team! Volunteers can also assist in the office by making phone calls, help with bereavement mailings, assemble admission packets and other general office help.
