VE Global is a different kind of volunteer organization. With no volunteering fee and a philosophy of greater opportunity for both the volunteers and the children they serve, VE Global continually seeks to find ways to support the program's essential objectives which are to recruit and train international volunteers to implement educational programs and act as positive role models for at-risk children in Santiago, Chile. Their projects are created out of a desire to bring equality of opportunity to the children of Chile. By combining the desire for a better world with the determination for concrete results, VE not only dreams of change; it creates change.

This blog is open to all those interested in a more intimate look inside how VE works both as an organization and as a family of caring volunteers. Check back often for current volunteers' thoughts on every aspect of VE, from first impressions of Santiago and their institutions, to challenges and triumphs in fundraising and program development, to important moments in the lives of the children they serve.
