Profile:

SL Volunteers is a Volunteer Organisation based in the South of Sri Lanka, our aims are to provide affordable volunteering opportunities whilst making a positive impact in the communities in which we serve.

All our coordinators, assistant coordinators and volunteers are required to undergo a series of in-country training sessions run by local NGO’s and charity workers, such as basic Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), working with children and people with special needs.

SL Volunteers was established in May 2010 by Lucy Nightingale and a team of fellow graduates and has since received in excess of 60 volunteers. With every new team, SL Volunteers intend to learn from each other to develop and improve.
